Short Summary:
The QZ was cut off from the rest of Bayside City after a supernatural disaster known as the Event claimed dozens of lives. The City says it’s dangerous but inside, a hidden ecosystem of spellcraft, spiritwork, and magical commerce has evolved.

When 15-year-old Lucy sneaks in searching for a spell to bring back the father she lost in the Event, she discovers a massive magical artifact abandoned in a back alley: an automaton, a living statue with no memory of who or what it is. She calls it Mojo.
